Team DSM coach Phil West: “As ever the Critérium du Dauphiné will be tough race and no doubt with some teams using it as build up towards the Tour, then the stages will also be hotly contested each day. We come to the race with a relatively young team where we mainly want to hunt for day results, but with Max and Oscar we also have two guys who are capable of being competitive in the GC as well. Nevertheless, we will approach the race day by day and with the parcours also taking in some of the most iconic climbs towards the end of the race, we will take nothing for granted and be sure that our team work is on point so that we are at the sharp end of proceedings when the racing kicks off each day.”
