A day destined to end in a fast finale, Tobias Lund Andresen once again showed his quick legs with a fourth place finish into the town of Silkeborg.
Like the opening day of racing, a breakaway was able to establish itself early on with all Team dsm-firmenich riders in the bunch; looking to conserve energy to support sprint finish Lund Andresen for the finale. As the kilometres ticked by the gap to the break fell and heading towards the local circuits, Enzo Leijnse and Tim Naberman brought the team forward, staying safe in case of any potential crosswind danger which in the end never materialiased. Florian Stork, Martijn Tusveld and Marco Brenner positioned Lund Andresen who was attentive in following dangerous moves on the penultimate and final time up the climb. Any attackers would be brought back and it was clear the race was heading for a sprint finish. The fight for position was hectic and Brenner tried to bring Lund Andresen forward but coming out of the last corner the Team dsm-firmenich riders were in around tenth wheel. Unleashing a strong finish and fighting to the line, Lund Andresen passed several riders on his way to fourth place as Jakobsen took the win ahead.
