Bennie joined the team in 2019 as a coach for the Development program. Vastly experienced, Bennie has worked within the sports industry for 34 years and recently held a role for 18 years with the team known as Delta Cycling.
“I bring passion and experience and I hope to use that to help develop the young guys on the team.”
Motivated by seeing his riders develop, one of Bennie’s career highlights was seeing one of his riders finish in third place at the Dutch national championships while just a continental rider: a result which saw them then make the step up to the professionals. A proud moment for Bennie.
“I’m always motivated when it comes to cycling. Success for me is when you see young cyclists enjoying themselves and developing as riders, the results then come automatically after that.”
A family man, you can often find Bennie out for a walk with his two dogs, socialising with his family or doing some gardening.
